Official ground breaking of the Museum occured on August 8, 2008 at LeFleur's Bluff State Park. Soon, construction will begin on the 24.5 million, 40,000 square-foot facility, which is scheduled to open in early 2010. It will be a place that children will want to come to over and over because they recognize it as their place. The Museum's capital campaign has raised over 80% of their goal with the help of you and many corporate and individual donors. We continue to gladly receive donations for this worthy project and an endowment that will be necessary for needed educational materials and maintenance of the exhibit.
