 Applications for medical
student elective rotations (UMC
Orthopedic Surgery course #657) are accepted
after March for the summer/fall elective period. Applications
are processed on a first come, first served basis with a limit
of 4-5 students per month. The student will rotate through 4 or
5 orthopedic subspecialties and work one on one with residents
and faculty.Our Elective Information sheet details the rotation.
Prospective visiting medical students should either email or write the Division of Student Records and Registrar, University of Mississippi Medical Center, 2500 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39216-4505 for information and an application. An application will be sent via email or regular mail. Registrar Office Contact Heather Verzwyvelt 601.815.9310 HSVerzwyvelt@registrar.umsmed.edu Complete the application and return to the Registrar's Office. Please notify Amy Kraus(via email) once the application has been completed and sent. This will assist us in tracking and processing.
