Residency Program Director and Department Chairman: Robert A. McGuire, M.D. Thank you for your interest in the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. The program is accredited for five years of training with four individuals at each level. We accept applications for the Match each year ONLY through ERAS. Should you have questions regarding ERAS, please contact your Dean's Office. International medical school applicants should apply through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates and must be ECFMG certified before our application deadline. The following items are required to complete your electronic application.
The deadline for completed applications is November 1 of each year. All applications will be screened, and invitations to interview will be e-mailed in November. All applicants receive notification of the final status of their application and all interviews are conducted in December and January. Please see our residency brochure (pdf file) for more details.
